How awesome that we can meet halfway in Denver with the Kothe fam!!!
Jack stayed with Sweetie all day and helped her buy a new car ;) and the girls and I hooked up with Michelle and Aaron and Madeline and Sophia.
We did the Butterfly Pavillion, had an awesome tapas lunch in Louisville (and nobody got stung by the bees who thought the girls' cream sodas would be delicious), did some shopping, and then Casa Bonita for dinner.
The full Denver experience! ;)
Sophia and Ella are trying really hard to stand perfectly still so that the butterflies will land on them. One came real close to Ella's head but she flinched and squirmed when it got too close!
Meg and Madeline were much too cool to be hanging out with the "little sisters" and explored the butterfly garden independently.
Everyone - except for Missi and Aaron - worked up their courage to hold Rosie, the tarantula.
Did you know that a female tarantula lives by herself 90% of her life. You can imagine the only time that she has any company... and then she kicks the kids out of the house as soon as they hatch.
Ella
Meg
Michelle had to hold her before Sophia was convinced that it was okay. And -shoot- Michelle has these in her garage! No problemo!
Madeline
And 'Fee' -- I love how you can see her giggling!
Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures at Casa Bonita. What an experience! And hilarious that we adults all remember going there as kids... the very first theme restaurant!!!
Thanks Aaron for helping Ella through Black Bart's cave -- too scary for me! ;)

Honey, my favorite spiders are the ones that are called SMASHED SPIDERS! This blog post gave me the willies, and I would have thrown Michelle under the bus and gone in search of a nearby Starbucks while she talked y'all into holding Rosie! (Smooches, Michelle; we miss you!)
