NERF WARS

Santa outfitted the whole family with Nerf guns (and Granpa is at Walmart right now, buying a gun for himself) and just after we ambushed Greg, because he was the last one up, a the inaugural Nerf battle began...

We had another small battle this morning -- then the guys had to stop and analyze the cheap bullets vs. the generic brand -- that's when Granpa announced that he was heading to Walmart for a gun of his own - we are predicting that he will show up with the gun that shoots magazines worth and extra ammo!!!

Christmas Morning

Santa left many gifts under the tree - including new bags for the girls to take to Costa Rica in June...

and filled our stockings so full that they fell from the mantle...

I love her sleepy eyes... even though the kids slept in until after 8!

And I got a new bike!!! It is kind of an "old lady" bike but I gotta say, when I took it out for a spin yesterday, my favorite thing was that I didn't feel hunched over the handle bars! I haven't had a brand new bike since my Purple Rose banana seat from about 3rd grade... I was so excited and surprised!!! Good job, Santa!

Christmas Eve

All decked out for Christmas Eve Service.

The girls were very excited to see our church family and hold their very own candle when we sang Silent Night --- I was a bit nervous but they did great!

We headed up to the Bowl by Burgess Junction on Christmas Eve morning for some sledding fun! We were intrigued when we saw someone hauling kids up in a Polaris fancy-schmancy four wheeler with tracks. Dave said to me, "I hope they're nice and will haul our kids!"

How THRILLED were we when we realized that it was Steve-O driving the Polaris rig - with Granma Vicki riding along to keep kids from falling out!

Now this is lazy man's sledding -- and we like it!

Jack after his second ride down the hill with Mama -- after he stopped fussing!! We were flying and I got a little nervous so I put my boot out and all it did was kick up snow into his face... Poor guy! He was NOT happy... and resigned to eating pretzels and cookies at the top of the hill for the rest of the morning...

Greg - from Florida, mind you - decided it was the most beautiful day for sledding and even took his coat off!!! Ella enjoyed riding down with him many times!
