BOY!!!

If you know what you're looking for, you can see the little "turtle."

This is a profile shot of a leg with the "equipment"(seriously, that's what the doctor called it!!) sitting right on top of his little thigh. It looks like the profile of a turtle! Dr Gill said, "undisputably, without a doubt, you're having a boy." These two pictures are the same - just one is bigger than the other.
Here is a profile of his face using the 3d ultrasound. He's got his little hand up in front of his face. Dave liked that he could count the four fingers and a thumb. When we first started the ultrasound, we had a good shot of his face and you could see his little tongue working... and with this pose, I'm afraid we might have another thumb-sucker!!! Pay-backs, eh Mom??? :)
And this is the alien shot - can you see his eye complete with the lens? And the nose and sinuses, mouth...

We also have some great views of his lumbar spine, his heart, etc etc. All in all, everything looks great. Healthy baby boy!

She had hold of my hand the whole time and I think I squeezed hers more than she squeezed mine! She was very brave, as you can see!

Meg got her ears peirced this weekend!!!

We were in Casper this weekend and decided why not??? Meg and I had been talking about it for a few weeks and with some peer pressure from her cousins, she gathered the courage and hardly said, "ow!" Cuddling the bear before...

Butterfly Hunter

Ella was the Butterfly Hunter while Dave and Meg were fishing. She chased and chased and finally caught one!!!

New Campsite!

So we moved to a different spot after our visitor came through. This spot is one that we've always eyed and wanted to camp at! We enjoyed playing on the rocks ---- they're just like Veedawoo!!!

Bear in Camp

Yes seriously -- on the Big Horns! This is the bear that visited our camp while we were out hiking Saturday morning. I am SO glad that we weren't around!!!

Camping on the Big Horns

We went up on the Big Horns for the first time this year and took the Langer's with us. We all fit comfortably in the camper and enjoyed a beautiful Saturday together! The guys fished Bull Creek a bit and we just hung out in the wildflowers! It was beautiful!

Piggy Bankers on Parade!

The girls participated in the Sheridan Wyo Rodeo parade with Dave and First Interstate Bank as a group of "Piggy Bankers." Some of the piggies were cuter than others... Meg and Ella
Donovan who was recruited to be "Boss Hog" when THE boss was unable to be in the parade.
The whole group - including the farmer and their drivers!

Skunked?

Fishing at Bear Lodge's Pond

Granpa Jim would be proud!!! We've got three little fishin' girls on our hands! And this pond was perfect -- within a few seconds of casting, it seemed there was always a bite! The trick was setting the hook on these little guys!

Aubrey wasn't so sure about touching it but was a good sport and really enjoyed reeling it in!

My favorite part of the fireworks was the very first song, "Major Tom" --- they had the fireworks perfectly choreographed with the music and I just loved it!!! Not bad for little ol' Sheridan!!!

Dad drove the big RV out to the Equestrian Center where we had a bbq and watched the fireworks. Thanks Papa!!!

Sir Buckley

This is my new "nephew" Buckley --- he has quite an impressive name that someone will have to post in a comment because I can't remember it!!! But I just think he's the cutest thing -- who can resist those eyes??? And he was a good boy while he visited here in Sheridan. He is so mellow and relaxed and hardly noticed when the fireworks were exploding over his head - if I remember correctly, he napped! The most excited I saw him was when Belle and I took the girls and Buckley for a little hike. He had an incision on his belly that needed to stay dry - well what did Buckley head straight for with the adorable puppy-way of bounding --- a HUGE muddy, yucky, germ-filled mountain puddle! He just wanted to wallow and frolick, and I have to say Brook wasn't much help in keeping him out of it as she was right there bounding and romping with him!

4th of July in Sheridan

All of the Barber's were together in Sheridan for the 4th of July!!! We had a lot fun - just hanging out together and relaxing. LtoR: front-Devin, Meg, Ella, Papa Dan, and Aubrey with Sweetie (aka Diane) right behind them; 2nd row-Belle, Derek, Missi, Dave, Seth (Poohbah), and Liz -- out at the Equestrian Center getting ready for the fireworks.

Seth road his motorcycle up from Denver and has quite the story to tell of driving through a terrible storm outside of Kimball NE -- he was even taken in by some farmers to retreat from the 20 minute hailstorm that he was trying to hide from under his windshield and helmet!!! Liz and Seth took an afternoon ride to check out the scenery of beautiful Sheridan.
