Let's Go Fly a Kite...

I think the pictures and videos speak for themselves...

That's Meg's kite flying in the tree way behind us and over our heads!!!

She was devastated!!!!!!

Our Own REAL Easter Egg HUNT

So on Sunday after church (which I didn't get picture one of... bummer...) Dave and I hid the eggs in our yard and the girls had to actually HUNT for them! Much more fun!

Dave is enjoying the new swing set as much as the girls!

Easter Egg Hunt at Kendrick Park

We walked over to Kendrick Park on Saturday before Easter to attend their big Easter Egg Hunt. Unfortunately, it's more like an Easter Egg "sweep" as they don't hide the eggs - just spread them out in the field... fortunately, they do separate the age groups...

It was Jack's first ride in the backpack and he seemed to do well!

Ella, Meg, and Alex wait for the go-ahead to start gathering eggs

Nina is in the background holding lil Hanna Jane who was born on Tuesday.

Alex, Annelise, Ella, Jack and Meg waiting patiently

And they're off -- Meg beside Annie and Ella who shared a basket and got the most eggs from our group...

Any Resemblance???

We think Jackson and his Papa Dan share quite a lot of handsome features!

Spring in Sheridan

So we headed home for Spring Break in Denver and a stop on the way home in Laramie on Sunday. We knew there was a storm moving in but who knew that we would time it just perfectly to arrive in Sheridan, just as the first big, juicy snowflakes began to fall? Literally, as we got off the interstate, it began to rain and by the time we had the van unpacked, there were HUGE snowflakes, literally about 2 inches in diameter, beginning to fall. They didn't stop until Monday afternoon.
Sheridan received about 18 inches snow. The whole town was shut down. Literally. We had a reverse 911 call that said that there was to be no travel around town until further notice. Only emergency vehicles and the city crews were allowed on the roads. Schools were closed for the day and the bank too!!! So, we enjoyed a lazy day, watching it snow, shoveling and playing in the deep, heavy, wet snow.

Meg, Ella and I made a tunnel in the snow that Dave shoveled up from the driveway. We were making great headway until Ella was cracked in the forehead with the small shovel. We decided it was time to go in after that for a break. The next day, Meg's friend Samantha came over. They finished the tunnel and crawled through!

Spring Picnic on the new swingset

Sophia and Ella and Madeline and Meg all enjoyed the warm spring afternoon with a BK picnic on the new swing set.

Jack's first haircut - yes at 4 months...

So the "comb over" and the long hairs behind Jack's ears had to go.

Here are a couple of 'before' and 'during' shots:

And after... he was worn out and ready for a nap!!!

Jack - 4 months!

Our "little" Jack man is already 4 months old! He weighs just over 15 pounds and is almost 26 inches tall!!! He is doing very well - right now fighting off a cough and a bit of a cold but happy and content. He is sleeping through the night, unless he wiggles around and gets his head up against the bars of the crib, and loving when his sisters play with and read books to him.
